The Partnership to End Homelessness was founded in 1999 to accomplish two goals: ![]()
One of the Partnership's most notable achievements has been its involvement in a citywide planning process on homelessness. The Partnership's roles in this strategic planning process were crucial: developing champions of the process from among its member agencies, creating collective vision and leadership, keeping members constantly abreast of the process and providing opportunities for their involvement, and hosting special events with speakers who provided vision and direction. The ultimate result of the planning process was the creation of Chicago's five-year plan to end homelessness, "Getting Housed, Staying Housed," which has received national recognition and has been endorsed by Chicago Mayor Richard M. Daley. |
